KHUJAND, December 25, 2009, Asia-Plus -- The 21st session of the Sughd regional legislature (Majlis) of the third convocation that took place in Khujand on December 21 confirmed the composition of the regional electoral commission for elections of members of the Sughd Majlis of the fourth convocation set for February 28, 2010.

The Sughd regional electoral commission members include representatives of Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDPT), the Communist Party (CPT), the Islamic Revival Party (IRPT), the Agrarian Party (APT) and the Party of Economic Reforms as well as nonpartisan persons.

70 constituencies for elections to the Sughd Majlis will be set up in the province.
