DUSHANBE, December 26, 2009, Asia-Plus -- On occasion of the New Year’s holiday, Tajikistan’s Bureau on Human Rights and Rule of Law (BHR) has conducted a charitable action for inmates of Dushanbe’s juvenile penal colony.
67 gift sets containing personal hygiene means and sweats have been handed over to the inmates, the BHR director Nargis Zokirova said.
According to her, 62 teenagers aged 14 to 18 are currently serving their terms in this penal colony. The majority of them are orphans or children from problem and poor families.
