DUSHANBE, December 30, 2009, Asia-Plus -- State and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation were the focus of a meeting of Zafar Muhabbatov, the head of Tajikistan’s Red Crescent Society (RCS), with visiting delegation of Iran’s Red Crescent Society, led by it head Husein Razi, which took place here on December 29.
“In the course of the talks, Muhabbatov offered the Iranian delegation to visit branches of Tajik RCS in the regions in order to get acquainted within its programs to outline priorities of bilateral cooperation for the next year,” Sayido Nazarov, a spokesman for Tajikistan’s RCS, said.
According to him, the sides agreed to organize exchange of experience and support for nurses’ network of Tajik RCS as well as hold cultural camps and resume the orthopedic program in Tajikistan.
The delegation of the Red Crescent Society of the Islamic republic of Iran will stay in Tajikistan till January 2010.
