DUSHANBE, January 4, 2010, Asia-Plus -- Police sized more than 55 kilograms of narcotics in a single operation in southern Tajikistan last Sunday, January 3.
According to the Ministry of Interior (MoI), police officers found more than 55 kilograms of raw opium while searching Opel-Astra in Khatlon’s Hamadoni district. “The drugs belonged to a passenger,” the source at a MoI said.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted on the drug charges and an investigation is under ways.
