DUSHANBE, January 19, 2010, Asia-Plus -- Demarcation and delimitation of Tajikistan’s common border with Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan is a difficult problem because in some sections, it runs though settlements, Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi remarked at a news conference in Dushanbe yesterday.
However, expert groups of the countries are continuing the demarcation and delimitation work despite all these difficulties, he added.
“At our request, he Russian Federation recently sent use archive documents of the Soviet time on this issue that are kept there and I believe these documents will speed up the process of demarcation and delimitation of national borders in the Central Asian region,” Zarifi noted.
