DUSHANBE, January 19, 2010, Asia-Plus -- As of January 1, 2010, aggregate capital of open joint-stock company (OJSC) Orienbonk, which is Tajikistan’s largest commercial bank, amounted to 233.972 million somoni, according to the Orienbonk corporate development department.
In the meantime, Orienbonk’s authorized capital stock decreased in the year to January 1, 2010 from 195.444 million somoni to 195.334 million somoni.
The bank’s net profit increased by 8.559 million somoni in the year to January 1, 2010, reaching 17.5 million somoni.
209.149 million U.S. dollars, more than 3.985 Russian rubles and 641,000 euros were remitted the bank last year. Over the report period, 306.097 million U.S. dollars, 610.399 million Russian rubles and 6.852 million euros were remitted from Tajikistan abroad through Orienbonk.
The source attributed large capital outflow to the fact that most Tajik entrepreneurs were purchasing goods for realization in the country abroad.
