KULOB, January 26, 2010, Asia-Plus -- By January 26, residents of Khatlon’s Kulob zone have bought shares in open joint-stock company (OJSC) NBO Roghun for 20 million somoni, Abdukarim Nematov, head of the branch of the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT) in Kulob, said in an interview with Asia-Plus.
According to him, residents of the city of Kulob have bought shares in Roghun for 7.017 million somoni.
We will recall that the government started to sell Roghun shares to people to raise funds to complete construction of the Roghun HPP on January 6 this year.
