DUSHANBE, February 4, 2010, Asia-Plus -- Mohammad Ali Zahrai, deputy head of Iranian president’s office, heading 35-person delegation arrived in Dushanbe yesterday.
According to the Iranian Embassy in Dushanbe, the delegation members include known Iranian researchers and cultural figures.
The purpose of the visit is for the delegation to discuss with Tajik officials issues related to expansion of bilateral cooperation between Iran and Tajikistan in the fields of culture, education as well as TV and radio communications, the source said.
On February 3, the Iranian delegation held talks with Tajik Minister of Culture Mirzoshorukh Asrori. The sides discussed various aspects of cultural cooperation between the two countries.
During their stay in Dushanbe, Iranian guests are also scheduled to hold talks with Minister of Education Abdujabbor Rahmonov, Chairman of the Committee for TV and Radio-broadcasting Asadullo Rahmonov as well as visit the Institute for Oriental Studies of the Tajik Academy of Sciences and meet with students from Tajik National University and Russian-Tajik Slavic University (RTSU), the source added.
