KULOB, February 4, 2010, Asia-Plus -- Registration of two self-propelled candidates has brought the number of candidates registered to run for a seat in the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) in Kulob single-mandate constituency to 4, Asia-Plus has leaned from Emomali Rahmonov, head of Kulob electoral commission.
According to him, the commission registered the self-propelled candidates Zuhursho Saidkomilov, head of the Kulob tree-planting enterprise, and Abdukholiq Loiqov, head of the Kulob technical inventory department, on February 3.
In the meantime, representative of the People’s Democratic Party (PDPT) Amirkhon Safarov and representative of the Islamic Revival Party (IRPT) Saidumar Husein were the first to be registered with commission and they have already been holding meetings with voters.
