DUSHANBE, February 10, 2010, Asia-Plus -- Representatives from the Tajik Embassy in Moscow jointly with representatives of Tajik banks in Russia are carrying out an explanatory work among Tajik labor migrants working in the Russian Federation on buying shares in Roghun, Davlat Nazriyev, head of the MFA information department, told Asia-Plus Tuesday afternoon.
“Over the past two days alone, Tajik labor migrants working in the Chelyabinsk region have bought shares in Roghun for a total 50,000 U.S. dollars,” the MFA spokesman said.
As it had been reported earlier, with support from the Tajik General Consulate in Yekaterinburg and Tojik Sodirot Bonk (TSB), the Tajik Diaspora in Russia’s Chelyabinsk region conducted a two-day action on selling shares in Roghun to Tajiks working in this region on February 7-8. Many Tajiks working in the Chelyabinsk region, especially Tajik entrepreneurs running their businesses in Chelyabinsk, reportedly bought Roghun shares.
Islomuddin Rajabov, head of the Tajik Diaspora in Chelyabinsk, noted, “There are still many Tajiks working in Chelyabinsk who want to buy shares in Roghun, and therefore, we plan to conduct similar action in the summer as well.”
