DUSHANBE, February 16, 2010, Asia-Plus -- Inflation for January 2010 stood at 0.7 percent, according to the Sate Committee for Statistics.
In January 2010, the cost of products of the food industry increased by 0.1 percent and non-foodstuffs rose in cost by 07 percent, while prices and rates for services rendered to the population increased 3 percent during last month.
In the meantime, the cost of the set of food products included in the consumer basket for actual consumption was 95.24 somoni (equivalent to US$21.80) per one family member per month, and with the norm for a balanced diet it was 190.92 somoni (US$43.70).
