DUSHANBE, February 16, 2010, Asia-Plus - A large consignment of psychotropic substances has reportedly been detained in Dushanbe.
According to the Ministry of Interior (MoI), the 24-year-old resident of the Chortut jamoat (Roudaki district), Bahrom Sattorov, was detained in Dushanbe on February 15. 1,880 pills of bromamphetamin weighing some 270 grams were confiscated from him.
“This drug is listed among the banned psychotropic substances,” the source at a MoI said.
The same day, the 48-year-old woman from the Roudaki district, Khursheda Azizova, who has the previous conviction for drug trafficking, was arrested in Dushanbe on suspicion of having been involved in drug trafficking. A package containing 672 grams of heroin was confiscated from her.
