DUSHANBE, February 22, 2010, Asia-Plus -- A roundtable meeting to discuss issues related to supporting development of Tajik media has opened in Dushanbe today.
The meeting has brought together representatives from Tajik media and media organizations as well as representatives of donor organizations, including the OSCE Office in Tajikistan, Tajik Branch of Open Society Institute/Assistance Foundation (OSI/AF-Tajikistan), UNDP, and a number of diplomatic missions and international organizations active in the country.
Representatives from donor organizations are considering their plans of supporting development of Tajik media in 2010. In the meantime, representatives from Tajik media and media organizations will inform donor organizations of their plans for development of media market in Tajikistan.
