DUSHANBE, February 22, 2010, Asia-Plus -- Police officers seized more than four kilograms of narcotics in five separate operations carried out in the country on February 21, according to the Ministry of Interior (MoI).
100 grams of hashish were confiscated from resident of Khatlon’s Rumi district, D.M.
A package containing 3.11 kilograms of marijuana was confiscated from resident of Khatlon’s Hamadoni district, Z.I.
In Khatlon’s Jilikul district, local resident, B.A., was detained on suspicion of having been involved in drug pushing. 1.5 grams of heroin were confiscated from him. B.A. said that he purchased the heroin from a certain Qurbonali for 100 somoni. Qurbonali M. was detained the same day and 38 grams of heroin were confiscated from him.
Besides, some one kilogram of heroin was confiscated from woman from Sughd’s Zafarobod district, Sh. S.
