DUSHANBE, March 9, 2010, Asia-Plus -- Officers from the Drug Control Agency (DCA) intercepted a large amount of raw opium on March 7.
According to the DCA press service, the 20-year-old student from one of universities in Dushanbe was detained last Sunday when he was trying to push one kilogram of raw opium. When searching his apartment, the drug control officers found another 39 kilograms of raw opium.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the alleged drug pusher and an investigation is under way.
