DUSHANBE, March 12, 2010, Asia-Plus -- An audit of projects sponsored by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Tajikistan from January 1, 2009 until December 31, 2009 will be conducted in accordance with terms of loan agreements, the source at the State Committee for Investments and State-owned Property Management (GosKomInvest) said.
“Tajikistan that has received preferential long-term loans form ADB for implementation of various projects intends to use a part of these loans for authorized payments within the framework of a single contract on conducting financial audit at units for implementation of projects and preparation of financial reports for 2009,” the source said.
GosKomInvest, as the government body of management responsible for coordination of activities of all project implementation units, is entrusted with the responsibility to select a single auditor for 13 ADB-sponsored projects in Tajikistan, he added.
“GosKomInvest invites all interested international audit companies, acceptable to ADB, to submit applications and their detailed profiles for participation in the tender for conducting audit in compliance with international audit standards,” the source stressed.
