DUSHANBE, March 17, 2010 Asia-Plus -- Closed joint-stock company (CJSC) Guliston, which is Tajikistan’s leader in clothing industry, plans to get into Kazakhstan’s market.
Aslam Nouruddinov, an official with Guliston, told Asia-Plus today that they plan to sign an agreement with Kazakh companies within the next few days on delivery of their products to Kazakhstan.
According to him, Guliston now exports its products to the Russian Federation, in particular to Moscow, Yekaterinburg and Chelyabinsk. “We are currently supplying up to 60,000 pairs of jeans to the Russian Federation per month,” Nouruddinov said.
Established in 1933, the clothing factory Guliston is specialized in manufacturing 100% cotton clothing for adults and children. In 2004, the enterprise was modernized and provided with the state-of-the-art equipment. Every year, specialists from this enterprise are sent to Europe and other far abroad countries to take refresher courses.
