KULOB, March 18, 2010, Asia-Plus -- The branch of the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT) in Kulob has provided 2,650 somoni worth of humanitarian aid to local vulnerable people.
The head of Kulob’s municipal social care service Mahmoud Rasoulov said the assistance, including food products and articles of prime necessity, was distributed to 20 most vulnerable people in the city today.
“The aid recipients included elderly people who do not have relatives to support and bed-ridden patients,” Rasoulov said.
In the meantime, Barqi Tojik power holding (Tajik electricity supplier), Kulob mayor’s office and Kulob airport have provided humanitarian aid to the Kulob-based republican boarding school for orphans and the boarding school for children with intellectual disabilities located in the Kulob district.
