DUSHANBE, March 29, 2010, Asia-Plus -- Afghan national has been arrested in Dushanbe on suspicion of having been involved in drug trafficking, according to the Ministry of Interior (MoI).
The source at a MoI said that the 37-year-old Afghan national Mohammad Zohir waladi Mohammad Husein was arrested in Dushanbe on March 28 and 5 kilograms of heroin were confiscated from him.
The same day, the 59-yer-old resident of Dushanbe Bahrom Rahimov was detained and 120 grams of marijuana and 40 grams of raw opium were confiscated from him.
In all, eight drug pushing attempts have been warded off by Tajik police over the past weekends, the source added.
