DUSHANBE, April 3, 2010, Asia-Plus -- In Tajikistan, inflation for January-February this year stood at 5.4 percent, according to the CIS Interstate Committee for Statistics.
Over the first two months of this year, the highest inflation rate among the CIS member nations has been reported in Ukraine – 11.3 percent. The lowest inflation rate for this period has been reported in Kyrgyzstan – 1.8 percent
In Armenia, inflation for the same two-month period stood at 8.2 percent, Russia – 7.6 percent, Kazakhstan – 6.2 percent, Moldova – 4.4 percent, and Azerbaijan – 2.8 percent.
The CIS Interstate Committee for Statistics does not have inflation rates for Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan in its report.
The average CIS inflation rate for January-February 2010 amounted to 8 percent.
