KHUJAND, April 3, 2010, Asia-Plus -- 51.857 kilograms of narcotics have been seized in Sughd province in January-march this year, Nasim Olimov, the chief of the analytical section within the Sughd department for combating drug trafficking (drug police), said in an interview with Asia-Plus.
A totaled included more than 25 kilograms of heroin, 8.5 kilograms of raw opium and 18 kilograms of hashish.
Nearly 170 kilograms of narcotics were seized in the province over the same period of last year, Olimov added.
