DUSHANBE, April 10, 2010, Asia-Plus -- On Friday April 9, new Turkmen Ambassador to Tajikistan Nokerguly Atagulyev presented a copy of the credentials to Tajik Foreign Minister Hamrkhon Zarifi, according to the Tajik MFA information department.
Tajik minister congratulated Mr. Atagulyev on the appointment of him chief of Turkmenistan’s diplomatic mission in Tajikistan and wished him success in the cause of further expansion and strengthening of bilateral Tajik-Turkmen cooperation.
Nokerguly Atagulyev replaced Nurberdi Amanmyradov in this post.
According to Turkmensitan.ru, Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdyimuhammedov on March 24, 2010 signed a decree on the appointment of Nurberdi Amanmyradov, who previously headed his country''s diplomatic mission in Tajikistan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Ukraine. By another decree, Nokerguly Atagulyev was appointed Ambassador to Tajikistan. He was relieved of the post of Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations in February this year. By a separate resolution of the Turkmen leader, Atagulyev was granted the diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
