KHOROG, April 19, 2010, Asia-Plus -- The GBAO tax directorate has overfulfilled the tax collection target for the first quarter of this year by 12.9 percent, Barzou Orumbekov, the deputy chief f the GBAO tax directorate, told Asia-Plus today.
In January-March 2010, tax officers have transferred to the regional budget 416,800 somoni more than it was originally planned, he noted.
In the meantime, tax arrears in Gorno Badakhshan have exceeded 500,000 somoni. “Tax debts in the region increased by 117,600 somoni in three months to April 1, 2010, reaching 522,000 somoni,” Orumbekov said.
The most incorrigible tax defaulters are enterprises and organizations of the city of Khorog – 339,300 somoni. Tax debts in the Shugnan district have amounted to 41,600 somoni, Rushan – 22,700 somoni, and Rshtaqala district – 15,300 somoni.
“Over the report period, rulings demanding to repay tax debts (totaling more than 384,000 somoni) have been sent to 19 enterprises; however, only one of them has repaid its 32,000 somoni debt to this day,” the GBAO tax official added.
