DUSHANBE, April 19, 2010, Asia-Plus -- Tajikistan’s first private air carrier, Somon Air, has launched a new air route – from Dushanbe to Almaty, Kazakhstan.
According to the Somon Air press service, the first flight on this route was operated today morning. It is once-weekly service and Somon Air uses Boeing 737-800 to operate this flight on Mondays.
Somon Air is an airline based in Dushanbe. The company now operates to the following destinations: Germany (Frankfurt am Main); Kazakhstan (Almaty); Russia (Yekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, Moscow, Orenburg, St Petersburg and Sochi); Turkey (Istanbul); and the United Arab Emirates (Dubai). In Tajikistan, Somon Air operates flights from Dushanbe to Khujand.
