DUSHANBE, April 23, 2010, Asia-Plus  -- The Victory Relay Race is going on along the borders of CIS member nations on occasion of the 65th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.

Aleksandr Manilov, the chief of the Coordination Service within the Council of CIS Border Troops Commanders, told reporters in Dushanbe on April 22 that the Victory Relay Race took its start in Grodno, Belarus and Murmansk, Russia on February 2 this year and all countries participating  in the Council of CIS Border Troops Commanders are taking part in this event.

The Victory Relay Race will finish in Moscow on May 28, on a Day of Border Guards and on this occasion, all CIS border service chiefs and veterans of border troops have been invited to Moscow,  Manilov noted.

We will recall that similar events were devoted to the 50th and 60th anniversaries of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.
