QURGHON TEPPA, April 26, 2010, Asia-Plus -- A new regional TB hospital with 50 beds will be constructed in Qurghon Teppa, the capital of Khatlon province.
The Khatlon health directorate head Sherali Buzmakov says the project is being funded by the World Bank and the hospital will be provided with the state-of-the-art equipment and modern lab.
“Representatives from the World Bank visited Qurghon Teppa recently,” said Buzmakov, “They met with the province governor and familiarized themselves with the site for construction of the hospital.”
He added that the existing regional TB hospital located in the Bokhtar district had been renovated due to 300,000 somoni provided from the regional budget.
