KHUJAND, May 7, Asia-Plus -- 146 million U.S. dollars have been remitted to banks in Sughd province in the first four months of this year, which is 25 million U.S. dollars, or 20.6 percent, more than in January-April 2009, according to the branch of the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT) in Khujand.
Last month alone, 44.3 million U.S. dollars were remitted to local banks, which is 9.6 million U.S. dollars, or 27 percent, more than in April 2009, the source said.
