DUSHANBE, May 11, 2010, Asia-Plus -- An arms cache and an area under marijuana have been discovered in a household belonging to Saidjon Qoziyev, resident of the Mastchoh district in Sughd province, according to the Ministry of Interior (MoI).
“Police officers discovered the arms cache and the area under marijuana, totaling 50 marijuana bushes, yesterday, while inspecting Qoziyev’s household,” said the source at a MoI, “A Makarov pistol, two pistol silencers and 570 bullets for the Makarov pistol were extracted from the hide” Besides, 24 grams of cannabis were confiscated from Qoziyev.
In the meantime, 517 firearms, including 116 assault rifles Kalashnikov, 74 pistols, 118 different rifles, 54 grenade launchers and 253 hand grenades, have been confiscated or voluntarily handed over since the beginning of this year, the source added.
