DUSHANBE, May 19, 2010, Asia-Plus -- The Ministry of Energy and Industries (MoEI) has provided humanitarian aid to flood-affected families in the Kulob zone of Khatlon province.
To-date, the ministry has provided 50,000 somoni (equivalent to 11,400 U.S. dollars) in humanitarian aid to support victims of the Kulob flood, the MoEI press service said.
The assistance included food products (11,500 kilograms of flour, 420 kilograms of cooking (cotton) oil, 2,000 kilograms of potatoes, 2,000 kilograms of onions and other food products) as well as tents, blankets and primary necessities.
