DUSHANBE. June 2. “Asia-Plus” -- Russia had once again raised export duty for raw oil and separate categories of oil products.
According to regulation of the Russian government ( http://www.garant.ru/hotlaw/federal/247772/ ), export duties for light oil products have increased by 2% (from $203.7 up to $209.1 per one ton) starting from June 1 this year.
On May 1 this year Russia introduced new export duties for light oil products exported to Tajikistan which made $209.1 per one ton. Previously Tajikistan did not pay any export duty for these products. However, in late May prices for fuel raised in Tajikistan by 20%.
Tajik Antimonopoly service under the government of Tajikistan called such raise in fuel prices groundless and promised to reduce fuel prices back to their normal level. However, the agency failed to do so and prices for gasoline of AI-92 type raised up to 4 Somoni against 3.4 Somoni in early May.
