Dushanbe. June 15. “Asia-Plus” -- 15 residents of Hushekat village of Aini region reported injured as a result of explosion of a truck loaded with methane on the Dushanbe-Chanak road.
As a result of explosion the driver, resident of Sarband city of Khatlon district Otamurod Gulomov, who was delivering methane from Khatlon to Khujand, died at the scene, the Central Fire Department of the Tajik Interior Ministry told the AP.
According to the source, the victims got severe burns covering from 5 to 60% of their badies. The victims were hospitalized to the regional hospital of Aini region.
The blast caused damage to three nearby houses as the fire destroyed a total of 125 square meters.
According to the source, the truck was the property of the Dushanbe’s Faroz company. “A special group has been set up to identify the reasons of the explosion and evaluate the amount of damage,” the source said.
