Dushanbe. June 22. “Asia-Plus” -- On June 21 Uzbekistan has opened its border for Tajik citizens crossing to Uzbekistan through Tursunzade direction of Tajik-Uzbek border, Central Border Guard Department of the Tajik State National Security Committee told the AP.
According to the source, the move is connected with reduction in the number of polio cases in southern regions of Tajikistan.
“From June 21 Tajik citizens are free to cross to Uzbekistan. All citizens of Tajikistan who have Uzbek visa and residents of transboundary regions are free to cross Tajik-Uzbek border,” the source has said.
