KHUJAND, June 30, 2010, Asia-Plus -- The Khujand-based open joint-stock company (OJSC), Eskhata Bank, has taken measure to ensure rural population’s access to banking services, according to the Eskhata Bank press service.
On Tuesday June 29, the bank opened a new banking service center in the Nov settlement, the administrative center of Spitamen district in Sughd province. The center will render services such as money transfer and lending, the source said.
Established in November 1993, a privately owned Eskhata Bank, with headquarters in Khujand, now has 13 branches, as well as 8 banking service centers and some 100 money-transfer outlets in various regions of the country. The bank got operating license in 1994.
