DUSHANBE, July 6, 2010, Asia-Plus -- Presidential quota for entering Tajik universities has been increased this year, Safarboy Samadov, an official with the Ministry of Education (MoE) said.
According to him, 1,209 school leavers from all regions of the country will enter local universities this year by presidential quota. “To-date, some 80 percent of those who will enter Tajik universities by presidential quota this year have been competitively selected by the MoE specialists,” Samadov said, noting that 650 girls and 559 young men will enter Tajik universities this year by presidential quota.
We will recall that last year, 1,007 school leavers, including 550 girls, entered local universities by presidential quota.
