DUSHANBE, July 7, 2010, Asia-Plus -- Numbers of the Regional Commonwealth in the field of Communication (RCC) have grown.
Open joint-stock company (OJSC) MegaFon and Intersputnik Holding Ltd (both are affiliates of IOSC Intersputnik) were accepted to the RCC Board of Electric Communication Operators on July 7 during the ongoing joint two-day session of the RCC’s Board of Electric Communication Operators and the Commission for Electric Communication.

The session is expected to discuss more than 20 issues.
The session participants are discussing issues related to creation of a transnational Eurasian information superhighway and making changes to procedures of mutual settlement of accounts between the electric communication operators within the RCC area.
Building the transnational Eurasian information superhighway is expected to create a new information communication space for Europe and Asia.
The session will also consider information security of interacting communications networks at the Board of the Electric Communication Operators, creation of an international business communication network, and improvement of the Board activity.
