DUSHANBE, July 7, 2010, Asia-Plus -- Over three years that I served as Ambassador of China to Tajikistan, relations between our countries have entered qualitative new level, outgoing Chinese Ambassador to Tajikistan, Mr. Zuo Xueliang, told reporters following his meeting with President Emomali Rahmon.
Outgoing Chinese envoy today met with President Rahmon at the end of his tenure to Tajikistan.
According to him, Tajikistan and China have participated in implementation of a series of joint strategic projects in the fields of energy, transportation, and communications. “Today, China’ is Tajikistan’s main trading partner and investor,” Mr. Zuo noted.
President Rahmon, for his part, highly appraised the activity of the outgoing Chinese envoy, who made considerable contribution to strengthening and expansion of friendship and cooperation between Tajikistan and China.
