KHUJAND, July 8, 2010, Asia-Plus -- More than 113 kilograms of narcotics have been sized in Sughd province over the first six months of this year, which is 107 kilograms fewer than in the same period last year, according to the department for combating drug trafficking (drug police) within the Sughd police directorate.
A totaled included more than 38 kilograms of heroin, some 16 kilograms of raw opium, 55.5 kilograms of hashish and 3 kilograms of other types o narcotics, the source said.
Over the report period, local law enforcement have instituted 128 drug-related criminal proceedings. The source did not detail the outcome of the cases
