KULOB, July 12, 2010, Asia-Plus -- Over the first six months of this year, Kuob law enforcement authorities have seized illegally possessed 28 firearms from local population, the Kulob police department chief Abdulvahob Iskandarovsaid in an interview with Asia-Plus.
In January-June this year, eight assault rifles Kalashnikov, two Makarov pistols, one machine-gun, one grenade launcher, one small-bore rifle TOZ-8, 15 hand grenades and more than 1,100 bullets of different caliber have been seized from the population,” the Kulob police chief said.
Besides, local police have seized 3.8 kilograms of various narcotics over the report period, he added.
