DUSHANBE, July 15, 2010, Asia-Plus -- The 20-year-old Afghan national, Bobovali waladi Mirhamza, was detained in Dushanbe yesterday for drug trafficking, according to the Ministry of Interior (MoI).
660 grams of raw opium were confiscated from him, the source at a MoI said, noting that police got on to the drug pusher long ago.
Before that, he supplied 16.3 kilograms of marijuana and 1.8 kilograms of raw opium to “test purchase officers” (undercover policemen), the source said. Thus, a total weight of narcotics confiscated from the Afghan drug pusher is some 19 kilograms.
