DUSHANBE, July 15, 2010, Asia-Plus -- The first house built for the disaster-hit family in Kulob with financial support from the First Deputy Finance Minister, Jamoliddin Nouraliyev, is being put in commission today, according to the Ministry of Finance (MoF).
Nouraliyev has provided 150,000 somoni for construction of residential buildings for two disaster-hit families in the city of Kulob, the source at a MoF said. The houses will be provided with all necessary home appliances and household articles.
According to the joint government-donor-non-government Rapid Emergency Assessment and Coordination Team (REACT), the floods that hit the Kulob area in May this year killed at least 22 people, leaving another 50 missing, over 200 injured, and more than 4,000 displaced from their homes.
