KONBODOM, July 19, 2010, Asia-Plus -- Sadoi Konibodom (Voice of Konibodom), an official newspaper of the Konibodom mayor’s office, Sughd province will be published twice a week starting September 1 this year, the Sadoi Konibodom editor Ghulomjon Homidov said in an interview with Asia-Plus.
“Our newspaper has a circulation of a 1,500 and before March, we had published only two or three editions per month,” Homidov said.
According to him, local authorities have purchased modern equipment for the newspaper. “Moreover, the number of subscribers has increased to 2,500 people,” the editor said.
The newspaper is now printed in the publishing house in Khujand but they will publish the newspaper in Konibodom itself in the near future. “Modern equipment is currently being installed in local printing house,” Homidov said.
