DUSHANBE, July 26, 2010, Asia-Plus -- Tajikistan has produced 8.2332 billion kWh of electric power in January-June this year, which is 1.4 billion kWh more than in the same period last year, deputy Minister of Energy and Industries, Akram Sulaymonov, told reporters in Dushanbe last Friday.
Over the report period, Tajikistan has also produced 5,375.6 tons of fuel oil (44.9 percent rise), 1,614.9 tons of diesel fuel (66/7 percent rise), 180,600 tons of primary aluminum (8.5 percent rise), 150,200 tons of cement (49.6 percent rise), as well as jewelries for 424,600 somoni (82.6 percent rise) and textile goods for 46.8 million somoni (24.8 percent rise), the deputy minister said.
According to him, 75 renovated and new enterprises have been introduced into operation in the country over the same six-month period. “Some of these enterprises were not in operation since 2009,” said Sulamonov, “Among them are ore refinery Zarnisor (formerly Altyn Topkan), textile enterprise Kabool-Tajik Textiles, limited liability companies Zarfhoi Tefloni and Ehyo Plast, HIMA Textiles in Yovon, Dushanbe-Tex, Nekou-Khujand, Charmi Osiyo, meat processing plant in Isfara, limited liability company Somon in Chkalovsk, etc.”
