KULOB August 3, 2010, Asia-Plus -- Veterans of World War II from the city of Kulob have received humanitarian aid that was sent to them by Counterpart International from the United States, Asadullo Qurbonov, the head of the Council of War Veterans of Kulob, said in an interview with Asia-Plus.
According to him, 66 veterans and invalids of war have received humanitarian aid. Assistance included men’s and women’s clothes, hygienic kits and home accessories for a total amount of 5,715 U.S. dollars.
“It is already the second humanitarian aid we have received this year from Counterpart International through local women’s center, Umeda,” Qurbonov added.
