DUSHANBE, August 27, 2010, Asia-Plus -- The Dushanbe social and political newspaper, Asia -Plus , will appear twice a week starting on August 30 – on Mondays and Thursdays.
On Mondays, the newspaper will be out under the name of Asia-Plus Dushanbe . At first, the Monday edition will be an 8-page newspaper in an A-2 format, but with the lapse of time the number of pages will be increased.
The Asia-Plus editor Marat Mamadshoyev referred the decision to publish the newspaper twice a week to increasing volume of information. “We want to respond more operationally to what is going on in the country,” the editor said.
According to him, reader is already ready for increase in periodicity of the publication. It is the first step towards publishing a daily newspaper, Mamadshoyev added.
