KHOROG, August 28, Asia-Plus -- The Pamir-1 hydroelectric power plant (HPP) resumed its operations on August 27, three days ahead of schedule.
We will recall that the Pamir Energy Company (PamirEnergy) that operates the Pamir-1 HPP announced on August 23 that the station suspends operations for a week-long planned repair-and-renewal work.
The repair-and renewal operations resulted in the supply of daily electrical power to the city of Khorog and Shugnan, Rushan, Ishkashim, and Roshtqala districts being reduced to 18 hours.
The repair-and-renewal operations were carried out to ensure regular work of the station during the autumn-winter period. During the repair-and renewal operations, the company’s customers were receiving electricity 18 hours per day from the Khorog hydropower plant on rotation: electricity supplies were being cut off only for three hours in the morning and for three hours in the evening.
“Continuous shift work has allowed completing the repair-and-renewal operations ahead of schedule,” the PamirEnergy spokesman Mirzoaziz Mirzoqandov said, noting that the customers now have electricity regularly.
