DUSHANBE, September 7, 2010, Asia-Plus -- On Tuesday September 7, Uzbek President Islam Karimov extended congratulations to Tajik President Emomali Rahmon on Tajikistan’s national day – the Independence Day, Uzbek media report.
In his message of congratulations, Uzbek leader expressed confidence that traditionally friendly Uzbek-Tajik relations having the centuries-old history will expand and deepen in the future as well, based on the principles of neighborliness and mutually beneficial partnership in the interest of both nations.
“Taking this opportunity, I would like to express best wishes for good health and successes to You, esteemed Emomali Sharipovich, and prosperity and peace to the Tajik people,” the telegram said.
