DUSHANBE, September 7, 2010, Asia-Plus -- Tajik public institutions have helped orphanages and boarding schools for children from vulnerable families on the occasion of the upcoming holidays – Tajikistan’s Independence Day and Idi Ramazon.
The Committee for Youth, Sports and Tourism jointly with the office of Iran’s Imam Khomeini Relief Committee (IKRC) in Tajikistan today provided humanitarian aid to the boarding school in Yovon district.
They organized a festive dinner for 150 pupils of the boarding school and provided individual gifts for them. Besides, sports activities were organized on the occasion of the holidays, the source said.
The Ministry of Energy and Industries provided humanitarian aid to the boarding school, Tanobchi, in Temourmalik district. Food assistance for a total amount of 8,000 somoni was handed over to the boarding school. Besides, school bags and other school accessories as well as sweeties were donated to the Tanobchi pupils.
