QURGHON TEPPA, September 8, 2010, Asia-Plus -- The Kulob independent bimonthly newspaper, Pazhvok, now appears twice a week.
The Pazhvok founder Orzou Homidov told Asia-Plus that it has become possible due to support of the U.S. Embassy in Dushanbe.
The newspaper that had previously been an eight-page publication now contains 16 pages. “The newspaper still has a circulation of 4,000 copies,” Homidov said.
Pazhvok opened its correspondent’s office in Qurghon Teppa on September 8 that was timed to coincide with International Day of Journalists’ Solidarity.
