DUSHANBE, September 15, 2010, Asia-Plus -- Tajikistan’s gross domestic product (GDP) for the first eight months of this year has amounted to more than 14.181 billion somoni (equivalent to more than 3.2 billion U.S. dollars), which is 6.1 percent more than for January-August 2009, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.
GDP structure by sources of income included: production of services – 51.0 percent; production of goods – 38.2 percent; and taxes – 10.8 percent.
We will recall that the country’s GDP for the first half-year of 2010 amounted to more than 9.662 billion somoni (equivalent to more that 2.2 billion U.S. dollars) and the gross domestic product for 2009 was 20.622 billion somoni (more than US$4.7 billion at the exchange rate for early January 2010).
