DUSHANBE, September 16, 2010, Asia-Plus -- A consultative workshop on publication and distribution of books is taking place in Dushanbe today.
Initiated by the Ministry of Culture (MoC), the meeting is expected to bring together senior representatives from the MoC, Committee for Religious Affairs, and publishing houses, the MOC source said.
According to him, Minister of Culture Mirzoshorukh Asrori will acquaint those present with the findings of inspections carried out by the Ministry in cooperation with the Committee for Religious Affairs and Dushanbe’s district prosecutor’s offices.
The meeting will also discuss ways to prevent distribution of illegal publications and issues related to the implementation of the country’s law on religion and the copyright act, the source added.
